Will it be dead when I need it?
No - it holds its charge sitting in a bag for 4 weeks. Most riders top it off once a month and forget about it. Full recharge takes under 50 minutes over the same USB-C cable as your phone.
How many tires per charge?
Road (700c, 80 PSI): 4–5 fills. MTB (29", 25–30 PSI): 2–4. That's enough for a bad day, and if you're inflating more than twice on one ride, something bigger is going on.
Will it seat a tubeless tire?
No. Nothing this size will. Keep one CO₂ cartridge for reseating; the Surge Pro handles topping off, new tubes, and post-plug refills - which is 95% of what actually happens out there.
Does it get hot?
Yes. You're compressing air fast in something that fits in your palm - every pump in this category gets warm. Use the included extension hose for back-to-back fills and it stays comfortable in your hand.
Is it loud?
Yes. It's a compressor doing real work. Out on the road or trail you stop noticing after the first fill.
How is this different than cheap ones on Amazon?
Brushless motor, true auto-stop at your set PSI, and five certifications (CE, FCC, RoHS, IC, PSE) instead of one. You also get a free frame storage bag the pump goes in.
What bikes does it work with?
Any bike with a Presta or Schrader valve - road, gravel, MTB, e-bike, hybrid, kids' bikes. Both adapters are in the box.
Do I need any technique to use it?
None. Press it onto the valve, set your number, hit start. It stops itself at your pressure - there's no seal to nail like CO₂ and no way to waste a shot.
What if I don't like it?
